Registrant
A Registrant is someone who has completed the registration process and has been confirmed (typically through the use of the Authorizer widget. This includes both manual and social registrants that have completed a full registration cycle and have been seen by the "confirmation" process. This may also include what are known as "additional attendees" and "unknown attendee registrants"
- Registrants are viewable in the Attendee Report on the InGo Dashboard
Advocate
An Advocate is someone who has socially authorized with InGo and has opted to advocate on behalf of the event by electing the "notification" permission and/or the "visibility" permission.
- Advocates are viewable in the Advocate Report on the InGo Dashboard
Attendee
An Attendee (as see in Events Manager in the "Attendee" view under an event) is a person who has authorized through activator or amplifier, or who has been confirmed through the authorizer widget. The term includes, but is not limited to, registrants. Attendee is therefore a subset of registrants, and may include testers and those who opted not to be displayed in "who's in" during authorization process. The difference between the term attendee and "prospect" is that an attendee may or may not have completed the registration process.
- Attendees display in the Attendee Report
- They are viewable for reporting purposes by anyone with access to the InGo event dashboard
Unregistered Advocate
An advocate that has not completed the registration process. This is not always equal to the difference between registrants and advocates because many registrants opt to register manually.
- Unregistered Advocates display in the Advocate Report only (currently) to InGo Administrators
Prospect
A prospect is any person that we know about for an event, regardless of whether how they entered the system or whether or not they completed registration. This includes people who opt for manual registration as well as anyone who socially authorizes through the activator or amplifier widgets. It can be seen as synonymous with Attendee.
- Prospects appear on the InGo Social Activity Report
- They are viewable for reporting purposes by anyone with access to the InGo event dashboard
Unknown Attendee
An Unknown Attendee is an attendee that we do not have enough identifying information for. An Unknown Attendee is typically the result of an incomplete or erroneous registration flow where an end user reaches an unmapped/unconfigured InGo Authorization widget out of sequence and results in an attempt by the InGo servers to confirm a registrant for which there is not data in the session. Again, unknown attendees, especially a large number of unknown attendees indicates a problem in your event's widget installation. You should contact InGo support if you find that your event shows unknown attendees.
- Unknown Attendees display in the Attendee Report only (currently) to InGo Administrators
